Port users are advised that there will be flare demonstrations as follows:
Seafood & Maritime Industries Training will be conducting a flare demonstration from the East Arm boat ramp between 8:00 am and 10:30 am Friday 6th March 2020. Handheld flares, hand held orange smoke signals and rocket parachute flares will be demonstrated for education purposes.
Darwin Sailing Club will be conducting a flare demonstration at their Fannie Bay facility between 12:15 pm and 12:45 pm Saturday 7th March 2020. Handheld flares and hand held orange smoke signals will be demonstrated for education purposes.
These flares do not constitute distress or emergency.
Flare sightings outside these time, or if in doubt, should be reported.
