Port users are advised that a flare demonstration will be conducted at the East Point Reserve cliffs, by the Australian Volunteer Coastguard between 1000 and 1200 Sunday 16 August 2020; and at the Larrakeyah boat ramp, HMAS Coonawarra, between 1400 and 1600 Tuesday 18 August 2020.
Handheld red flares and handheld orange smoke signals are to be demonstrated for training purposes.
These flares do not constitute distress or emergency. Flare sightings outside these times or if in doubt, should be reported.
