Darren Lambourn – Chief Executive Officer
As the CEO, Darren is responsible for the overall operations and management of the port. Darren has a wealth of experience in port supply chain operations in general cargo and bulk logistics, most recently in his role as General Manager Bunbury for Southern Ports Authority where he was instrumental in the implementation of new port master plans. Darren has a strong focus on safety and environment with extensive experience in asset utilisation, port commissioning, stakeholder management and new business development.
Peter Dummett – General Manager Port Development
Peter joined Darwin Port in 2011 as General Manager Port Development. Peter has extensive experience in the maritime industry having served a long career in the Royal Australian Navy prior to taking up regional sales, business development and general management positions within the shipping industry. Peter is responsible for business development, infrastructure and client and stakeholder liaison.
Ian Niblock – General Manager Operations
Captain Ian Niblock is a Master Mariner with 44 years marine industry experience with a pilotage focus and holds a Graduate Diploma in Business (Port and Terminal Management). Ian was appointed Darwin Harbourmaster in 2010 and took up the position of General Manager Operations in 2012 where he manages all marine operations. Ian also has considerable experience in marine emergency response management having been incident controller during some high profile international incidents.
Celia Lloyd – General Manager Business Support Services
Celia joined Darwin Port as Business Support Services Manager in August 2017. Celia is responsible for Finance, ICT, Procurement and local HR support.
Celia is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years of experience across various industries within Australia and the U.K. Prior to joining Darwin Port, Celia worked in various senior finance roles within the electricity industry in both Darwin and Brisbane. Celia has extensive experience in accounting base roles, covering financial reporting, business analytics and modelling, contract and business process improvement. She has also worked within Business Development and Commercial Teams undertaking tender development and providing pricing/financial support.
Sarah-Jane Archdale – General Manager Legal
Sarah-Jane Archdale joined Darwin Port in September 2016 previously working in private practice in both Australia and London. During the course of her career, Sarah-Jane has specialised in construction and major projects advising on construction, infrastructure and energy contracts as well as providing procurement advice. Sarah-Jane has been involved with a broad range of international projects in Europe, Asia and Australia.
As General Manager Legal, Sarah-Jane is responsible for providing legal and contractual advice for Darwin Port.
Peter Raines – General Manager Facilities
Peter commenced at Darwin Port as General Manager Facilities in 2010. Peter has 35 years of experience in facilities management and contract maintenance operations. Prior to joining Darwin Port, Peter owned and managed a property services business and jointly owned a banking franchise in the Northern Territory.
As General Manager Facilities, Peter is responsible for cargo operations, security, wharf services and facilities maintenance.
Rhys Jones - General Manager Engineering
Rhys is a Chartered Professional Engineer with experience in a range of marine operations, construction and asset management roles. Prior to joining Darwin Port as General Manager Engineering, Rhys worked at Rio Tinto Iron Ore as the Asset Management and Engineering Services Superintendent at Dampier Port after previously holding the role of Senior Port Engineer across all of Rio's Pilbara Ports. Rhys has also held roles with Inpex Corporation in the construction of the Ichthys LNG Project, as well as working in a specialist maritime consultancy for 7 years servicing a range of clients in the mining, oil & gas and public sectors.
Wayne Bodkin - Work Health Safety Environment & Security Manager
Wayne commenced with Darwin Port in 2006 and was appointed as the Port Security Manager in 2008, responsible for the management of the port's security department, he was also appointed as the Port Security Officer in 2012. Wayne has over 20 years' experience in various operational and management roles across the security industry. Wayne was appointed as the Work Health Safety Environment and Security Manager in April 2019, responsible for the relevant port management systems and compliance with health, safety, environment and security policy and legislation.
