Darwin Port Corporation workers sign new EBA

Darwin Port Corporation (DPC) workers are the latest Northern Territory Government employees to sign onto a fair and reasonable wage agreement. Under the endorsed enterprise bargaining agreement (EBA), workers will receive a three per cent pay increase each year over the four year lifetime of the offer. DPC workers will receive their first salary increase dated from 1 July 2014, when the former agreement expired. Flaring at Darwin LNG - Wickham Point

Darwin LNG advises that flaring will occur between Monday 28 July 2014 and Tuesday 29 July 2014 at Darwin LNG as part of operations of the Wickham Point facility in Darwin, Northern Territory. The marine flare located at the Darwin LNG Jetty will be flaring ‘boil-off’ from the Darwin LNG tank as part of planned maintenance to the plant. Boil-off is LNG that is evaporating slowly in the LNG tank as it warms up. Depending on the level of flaring, this may be visible in the evening as a flame at the end of the Darwin LNG jetty.
